Applying this Face Mask Once a Week May Help Reduce Adult Acne

If you were blessed with flawless skin, or your days of a face scattered with blemishes ended after puberty, consider yourself lucky. For many women like myself, the onset of hormonal and stress induced acne began later in life.

Four years ago my hormone levels teamed up with my skin to produce monthly cystic flares ups, which left a trail of hyper-pigmentation scars behind. Until then, I never had a skin care routine. A lather up with Dove soap followed by a quick rinse with water, always did the trick. Therefore, learning how to balance my skin was a challenging journey I was not prepared for.

As anyone should, I began with a trip to a dermatologist. My first job in high school was working in an office of dermatology, so I have witnessed their magic. However, after trying topical medications and other recommended treatments, for six months, my skin was more inflamed than before treatment. Deciding to take matters into my own hands, I analyzed my skin. I am not a doctor, but the time I spent working in the office paired with my biology degree has to be good for something, right?! I did some research and returned to a modified version of my original routine. After about a month I realized that the tone and texture of my skin was improving.

During my investigation into improving my routine, I discovered that drinking raw apple cider vinegar(ACV) assists with a host of ailments such as acne, and even revs up your metabolism. I began taking Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar on an empty stomach every morning. As my skin improved, I came across some information on ways to use ACV for acne. Aside from ingesting the strong smelling tonic, mixing with Aztec's Secret Indian Healing Clay to create a mask was the next best thing. All of the online reviews on the pulsating mask seemed to be stellar.

I started incorporating the clay mask about 8 months ago and the benefits have been excellent. Following the label directions, I mix equal parts clay and ACV and leave on for about 20 minutes. If your skin is very sensitive, I suggest replacing the ACV with distilled water, as this is very powerful and may cause a bit of redness.

The clay, pulls toxins out of your pores by using a negative electron charge. As the mask is applied all pore obstructions are drawn to the surface, because our skin is positively charged (the opposite charges create a magnetic effect). Using the mask once a week helps to clear out the gunk that may lead to acne.

My personal note: When applied weekly, the frequency of breakouts as well as my scars have been greatly reduced. I highly recommend this product. If you don't have time every week, use it once a month, the week before your period. I hope this post helps you or someone you know get confident with clear skin!
